The quantitative study shows that the intensity of the leuco-agglutination depends on the amount of complement which is present in the reaction: the excess of complement (more than 2/a of normal) inhibits the leuco-agglutination; the optimum is equal to */3 of the normal level ; in the absence of complement the leuco-agglutination is inhibited in 30 % of the leucoagglutinins tested.
